Barlow Blinds Ltd. was formed in 1890, manufacturing traditional blinds and awnings. In 1950 the company expanded into the machine tool protection market, producing small protective bellows to meet
the needs of local engineering companies. From this early beginning the company has developed into one of the leading producers of machine tool protection covers in the United Kingdom.
Constant innovation has enabled us to update production machinery and methods. Today CAD produced drawings are fed directly onto laser cutting machinery for production of metal plates and plastic
supports. For specialist applications, the bellows incorporate the latest high technology fabrics. |

Machine tool and safety protection is supplied to diverse industries including machine and vehicle manufacturers, mining, building and road construction, agriculture and food processing, printing, packaging and the leisure industries. We supply specialist equipment for chemical, surgical, and optical lens manufacturing. The Design Department offers a prompt computer design and pricing service and is currently developing an expert system to formalize design criteria while allowing the flexibility to innovate. |
